Un Jardin en Méditerranée: conceived as a watercolour, this perfume, composed in 2003 is inspired by a hint of the poetic in the Tunisian garden of Leïla Menchari (Director of displays for Hermès). Like a travel journal, it evokes that paradise-like universe of shade,water and light, based on the theme of a fig tree in the morning and Mediterranean citrus.

#Great expectations...

The concept, ingredients and Hermés name made me like "Okay this is my scent".

I'm not going to talk about all the notes in detail. Yes, the opening is absolutely magnificent. Very natural, very rich, totally delicious. You're in a dreamy mediterranean garden. Great composition. But it's getting sweet and sweet and sweet... Oversweet in the end. And this sweetnes is sticky, jam-like, even wax-like feeling. It's so dominant in middle and base that makes me lose all aromatic, green and woody notes.

#Just perfection. It's sunny, bright, and lovely. Imagine a beautiful forest filled with lemon trees, and fig trees, and in the distance the ocean. That legitimately what this fragrance smells like to me. Hermes is in my opinion of the great perfumers of our time. Just classic, well made juice. I highly recommend you pick up a bottle of this stuff, and give it a whirl.
